Madhuri Dixit to play a mother role for Sonam Kapoor

madhuri1

If what we hear is true, Madhuri Dixit may soon playing the role of Sonam Kapoor’s mother in Anil Kapoor’s remake of the Hollywood film, Freaky Friday.

The role was previously offered to Shabhana Azmi, Rekha and Kirron Kher who had to turn it down due to date clashes. Since Anil has said that he would like to work with his former leading lady again, he felt that Madhuri suited the role perfectly. Although she likes the script, we are still waiting for confirmation on her part in the film which revolves around a mother and daughter who magically swap roles for a day.

Could this be Madhuri’s comeback from her previous comeback, Aaja Nachle?

Her secretary and previous manager, Rakesh Nath has said, “She has got four-five very good offers. She will definitely do another film soon, but this time we have to be very careful. I’ve worked with other actresses, but Madhuriji is Madhuriji.” However, we do know she is meeting him since she tweeted, “Meeting with Anil Kapoor today. Lets see what happens….”

When asked about his upcoming venture, Anil said, “It’s too early to comment on any of my new projects, but I would love to work with Madhuri in any capacity at any stage.”

Madhuri Dixit is back to Bollywood

madhuri-dixit-wallpaper[1]1

Bollywood diva Madhuri Dixit is back in the thick of things shooting not only for the dance reality show ’Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ that brought her back to India this time, but also an endorsement for which she has apparently been paid an unheard-of price.

According to reliable sources, Madhuri and her old business manager Rakesh Nath (Rikku) have finalised at least three other endorsements that would keep the actress busy for a good part of January. When contacted Rikku, who has looked after Madhuri’s career from the start, admits Madhuri’s endorsement plans.

’She is at this very moment shooting for an endorsement campaign for Hindustan Lever product. Other endorsements are being finalised. Meetings are on,’ he said. The buzz in the film industry is that Madhuri is determined to make a comeback in movies.

Apparently Yash Raj Films, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Karan Johar and UTV have come up with tempting offers. Madhuri is on the verge of signing one of these. ’You’re right. She has got four-five very good offers. She will definitely do another film soon. But this time we have to be very careful. I’ve worked with other actresses, but Madhuriji is Madhuriji,’ said Nath.

The diva seems more than happy keeping busy at home away from her adopted home. ’I’m having a ball. I am so glad people have liked me on ’Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’. I am enjoying this busy phase before the camera,’ said Madhuri who is married to US-based doctor Sriram Nene and has two sons with him. Her children are expected to join her this week for Christmas holidays. ’I can’t wait to see them,’ said Madhuri happily before rushing for her next shot.

Actress Madhuri is back once again

madhuri

Bollywood’s dancing diva Madhuri Dixit has been an eye candy of millions of fans all over India as well as overseas but there was hardly anyone, who could impress the ‘dhak dhak’ girl with his charms. She has ruled the industry with her killing smile and dance beats.
The 43-year-old actress left Bollywood in 2002 following her marriage to the US based doctor Shriram Madhav Nene. Since then, the dancing queen made her appearance in the movies just once with Aditya Chopra’s Aaja Nachle in 2007.
Now, Madhuri is back once again in her home land Mumbai and is in all praise for Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor. She has landed quietly in Mumbai airport on Tuesday and is here for judging the dance based reality show ‘Jhalak Dikhla Jaa’. The Padma Shri winner actress seemed to be very impressed by the new talented boy of the industry. She keeps a close watch on the Bollywood films even when she is in US and managing her family. Ranbir’s achievements in these three years have been highly appreciated by Madhuri and she said that he must be proud of this.
She thinks Ranbir has achieved all these success on his own terms so he deserves to be appreciated.
Madhuri also seems to have liked Imran Khan and Priyanka Chopra for their performances. She has specifically praised Priyanka for her wonderful performance in Fashion.
Ranbir might have never actually boasted of his achievements but this adoration and appreciation from an actress like Madhuri Dixit is such a thing that he can really boast of!

Madhuri Dixit in 'Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa'?

Madhuri11

Those who’ve been itching to see Madhuri Dixit’s marvellous dances may not have to wait long. The buzz in the industry is that the cine diva is being wooed by the organizers of the telly show Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa to make a special appearance in the show’s upcoming fifth season.

Madhuri was last seen in the Bollywood musical Aaja Nachle which had her playing a US-returned dancer reviving her old and defunct dance school in a small town in India. The film, sadly, had come a cropper at box office, but Madhuri’s dance prowess had shone through.

To cash in on this Madhuri magic the makers of Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa 5 have approached the actress to appear on the show and even dance on stage.

Negotiations are still going on as Madhuri lives in the US. However, we hear that the actress is interested in making her first appearance on an Indian television dance show.

Madhuri Dixit Biography

Born on 15th May 1967, Madhuri Dixit is the Marlyn Monroe of Bollywood. This beauty of Bollywood is full of talent with great acting skills, charms and dancing abilities. She is considered to be one of the best Bollywood has ever seen. She has stolen the hearts of everyone of all ages Be it young college students or famous painters like M.F. Hussain her charm has enticed all.
She made her acting debut in “Abodh” in 1984. The film was a box-office disaster and failed miserably. The future looked dim for this diva when this was followed by other flops like Aawara Baap, Swati, Hifazat etc. The year 1988 was the turning point in her career when she was re-launched by Subhas Ghai in the legendary hit. This was followed by Dayavaan and Tezaab. She starred next to Vinod Khanna in the former and the dashing Anil Kapoor in the latter. Tezaab made her a dancing sensation in India and the Ek-Do-Teen girl with her sensational dance and sensuous facial expressions started a new cult in Bollywood.
“Dil” added another accomplishment to her list when her performance in the blockbuster movie won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Again the movie was appreciated both by the fans and the critics for years to come and the film completed its Golden Jublee.
Dil was followed by “100 Days” and “Saajan” in 1991 which were huge success at the box office and established Madhuri Dixit as the crown princess of Bollywood. Then came Indra Kumar’s “Beta” in 1992 which again was one of the biggest box office hits. The film won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. Her sensuous dance number in Dhah Dhak karne laga established her as the ‘Dhak Dhak’ girl who stole the hearts of millions.
Her famous item number ‘Choli ke Peeche’ in Khalnayak in 1993 placed her in the centre of a huge controversy and again brought her in the spotlight. She was nominated for the Filmfare Best Actress Award for the same movie. 1994 was perhaps the best year in the career of MAdhuri with two of her biggest hits “Anjaam” and “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun” releasing that year. While her role in Anjaam, where she played a vengeful damsel, was greatly applauded by the critics, Hum Aapke Hain Kaun recorded the single greatest hit ever breaking the record of Sholay. The film won her the Filmfare Best Actress Award for the 3rd time.
Indra Kumar’s “Raja” (1995) was another one of her hits. Though the film had many flaws her role won the critics recognition. Unfortunately after that had been downhill for Madhuri with a series of flops like Prem Granth, Koyla, Mrityudand etc. Critics commented that it was time for Madhuri to pack her bags and leave the industry but then came her performances in Dil Toh Pagal Hai (1997) which once again who her the Filmfare Best Actress Award. She once again starred in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Devdas” in 2002. the film was commercially successful and she proved once again that she has neither lost her acting talents nor her dancing skills.
After her marriage in 1999 filma have moved down the priority list for Madhuri and she is devoting more time to her personal life taking care of her two sons Arin and Ryan. She is though starring in a few films the most recent in line being Aaja Nach Le. Let us hope that we get to see more of this dashing diva of Bollywood.
